JOB DESCRIPTION.
The Assistant Site Director is responsible for overseeing the direction of staff on how to interact with internal & external customers, supervise day-to-day activities, and provide assistance to the Site Director as needed. This position will perform the administrative duties in the absence of the Site Director.
JOB COMPLEXITY.
Supervise day-to-day activities of the program while following contract
Assist with maintaining student-staff ratio
Assist with attendance, snack procedures and maintaining enrollment information
Develop clubs, activities, and curriculum
Assist Site Director in developing and implementing a diverse, creative mix of arts & crafts, sports, recreation, academic (homework assistance), and enrichment activities, that are age and interest specific for the children enrolled
MINIMUM COMPETENCIES.
Must be 18 years of age or older
Must pass CAPE test or have a minimum of 48 college units (Click here to learn more about taking the CAPE test!)
Valid Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification required
A minimum of 1 year experience working in an after school or group childcare setting
Must be able to work at least 80% of all program hours
Demonstrated ability in sports, special interests and hobbies, and/or arts & crafts
Ability to relate well to children and adults
Valid TB results required
Must receive Fingerprint Clearance upon hire (paid by Harmonium)
Must have either a minimum of 6 completed units in child development, elementary and/or middle school education, recreation or related field or a minimum of 6 months documented work experience in an ASES program
Must provide proof of Fully Vaccinated status
All new hires begin at starting salary regardless of experience.
