Assistant Service Manager

Assists SM in managing the FOH through legendary food, legendary service, and legendary people. This is a developmental role to prepare the roadie for promotion to Service Manager or other leadership position.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Essential Functions Statement(s)

Oversees service in the FOH. In conjunction with all management, enforces compliance with all employment policies in area of responsibility.

Oversees/approves all FOH side work. Provides/oversees thorough training. Works during peak business times to set the pace in the FOH.

Manages through "hands on" supervision of the restaurant. This includes but is not limited to non-scheduled assistance with serving, hosting, cooking, etc. Ensures 100% table visitation of customers to gather customer insights and assist Service Manager in developing a sales strategy to improve customer experience and drive sales.

Leads by example to help develop employees and assistants. Cross-trains promising employees. Oversees scheduling of designated departments, as directed by the Service Manager.

Develops promotions (incentives) to drive sales and conduct alley rallies, as directed by Service Manager. Manages compliance with Responsible Alcohol Service training requirements. Creates a safe and healthy work environment.

Understands and practices safe food handling procedures. Ensures that the cleanliness of the restaurant and safety of our guests are maintained at all times. Helps to control the guest flow.

Assist with liquor inventory & ordering. Assists LSM with building sales. Ensures culture and core values are adhered to: passion, partnership, integrity, and fun with purpose.

Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)

Experience: 2 or more years as a SM or Key hourly in FOH operations

Computer Skills: Word, Excel

Other Skills:
