Assistant Robotics Advisor

Position: Assistant Advisor/Coach for the Avon High School Robotics Team.

Location: Avon High School

Reports to: Avon High School Principal

Job Goal: To provide the high school team opportunities to form learning partnerships between students with different technology skill levels. Assist the head advisor facilitate activities related to robotics competitions.

Duties: Assist the Advisor organize and monito2024 AHS Robotics team, schedule bi-weekly meetings (frequency increases during the intense 6-week build), attend competitions (includes district competition, district championship & FIRST championship), follow all safety rules and guidelines of the FIRST robotics program. Work with parent volunteers who provide logistic support such as 1) tow team trailer 2) draft field trip requests, permission slips and BOE proposals 3) register for competitions 4) order team uniforms 5) assist with the Robotics team information management system 6) other duties related to team management and as assigned by the AHS Principal

Salary: Stipend position as listed in the agreement between The Board of Education and The Avon Education Association, Appendix B-2 $4,775
