Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated and service oriented individual to join our team as Assistant Restaurant Manager. This individual is a proactive solution seeker, they lead by example, don't settle for the normal, and continuously encourage and engage their team members. They will assist in providing the leadership required to achieve the fiduciary and quality goals for the Food and Beverage operation. They will ensure the effective and efficient operation of all facets of our restaurant outlets and room service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Supervise FOH staff while on the floor.

  • Work closely with Host team to ensure that seating flow is maintained in a smooth and orderly fashion. Work with host staff as to when to begin a wait list ensuring that excellent wait-list follow through occurs and communication with guests as to delays.

  • Assist Food & Beverage leadership team in the promotion and training of front of house (FOH) staff in the proper standards, procedures, suggestive selling and side work duties.

  • Maintain communication of shift activities, personnel issues, back of house (BOH) issues and any other issues pertinent to the shifts activities.

  • Assist with guest requests/ complaints/ issues and suggestions with professionalism, sincerity, knowledge and expediency.

  • Check all side work duties and ensure that staff is ready to work in appropriate uniforms that adhere to the strict appearance standards.

  • Possess full product knowledge of hotel services/facilities; including all menu items and wines in order to maximize guest satisfaction and sales opportunities with each guest contact.

  • Maintain a high standard of service at all times

  • Maintain hygiene, safety and fire standards within the work area in adherence with safety regulations and property policy in order to ensure the health of guest and colleagues alike.

  • Be present in the Barking Frog and Fireside on the floor during service to provide support to staff as well as monitoring and ensuring maximum guest satisfaction.

  • Facilitates rest periods and meal periods for FOH employees to ensure they are occurring.

  • Attend weekly departmental meeting and other meetings as required.

  • Other duties as assigned by the Food & Beverage leadership team.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Wage Range: $34.00/hour - $36.50/hour
  • Cell phone allowance: $40/month
  • Eligible for medical insurance, dental insurance, long term disability, vision insurance, and life insurance under our existing group plans
  • Eligible for 401(k) retirement plan with employer match following 1 year of service under our existing plan
  • 11 days of PTO accrued in the first year based on an employee working 40 hours each week
  • Complimentary meal in employee lounge during shift

Qualifications

  • Previous supervisory experience working at a Restaurant in a luxury hotel and or full service resort.
  • Ability to make quick decisions in high stress situations.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Pleasant and positive personality.
  • Well organized.
  • Current WA State food handler's permit.
  • Current WA State MAST (alcohol server's permit).

Compensation Range

The compensation for this position is $34.00/Hr. - $36.50/Hr. based on qualifications and experience.
