Ability Beyond is currently seeking an Assistant Residential Program Manager for one of our Danbury residential locations. This location serves three individuals whose primary diagnosis is autism/fragile x.

The individuals are highly involved in the community going on outings and participating in the Special Olympics. We are looking for a strong Assistant Residential Program Manager to support these individuals by implementing proactive behavioral strategies and providing direct care while assisting the Manager of the residential home with admin duties.

The Assistant Residential Program Manager assists the Residential Program Manager in the overall provision of services and supports for assigned individuals in residential programs. The Assistant Residential Program Manager is responsible for the daily implementation of each individual's Treatment Plan.

The position provides shift supervision, direction, and training to direct care staff and overall daily operations of the program in the Residential Program Manager's absence. In implementing programs and services, the Assistant Residential Manager facilitates each individual's personal choice, increased independence, and enhanced quality of life.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent with at least two (2) years of full time related experience, or a minimum of two (2) years of college with concentration in a related field and one (1) year of full time related experience. Maintain a current, valid driver's license;
  • Depending on work location, within thirty (30) days of employment, must obtain a Connecticut Public Passenger Endorsement Certificate (PPEC). Must have and maintain access to daily use of a registered and insured vehicle;
  • Must meet all requirements for State Certification in Medication Administration within ninety (90) days of hire. Must hold or be eligible to obtain CPR and basic first aid certification as required.
