Job Title: Assistant Registrar

Job Type: This is a full time, non exempt position.
General Description:
The Assistant Registrar has primary responsibility for managing the Council for Independent Colleges (CIC) Consortia courses and student enrollment. Also responsible for the registration processes for Graduate and Online students, maintaining student records, evaluating Graduate and Online student undergraduate transcripts, completing degree audits and advising students nearing degree completion, serving as a Primary report writer for the record's office, and performing general office duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage CIC Consortia courses and student enrollment.
Register Set up Location Codes, Registration Codes, and Course schedules from official cohort calendars for Graduate and Online programs
Set up and update course schedules in Jenzabar.
Manage enrollment for students pursuing certificates.
Set up, manage, and maintain Graduate courses (all modalities) in Jenzabar.
Investigate and resolve registration issues (all modalities).
Audit and confer degrees for Graduate and Online students.
Process Graduate and Online schedule changes.
Process Graduate and Online withdrawals and leave of absences.
Evaluate Graduate and Online undergraduate transcripts in a timely manner.
Enter prior learning data for Graduate and Online students.
Evaluate and enter CLEP/DANTES credit for Graduate and Online students.
Assist in advising students nearing degree completion.
Write and maintain Infomaker reports for Record's Office.
Perform data base maintenance functions.
Problem solve Jenzabar EX functions.
Run and distribute reports upon request.
Run enrollment reports for Graduate and Online.
Update the Transfer Equivalency System and note equivalencies (all modalities).
Update registration tables (all modalities).
Welcome and serve customers with a positive and friendly attitude.
Perform other responsibilities as assigned by registrar.
Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
Ability to use a computer system and to accurately and quickly input data into the system. Ability to prepare and process reports from Infomaker. Ability to comprehend written guidelines. Ability to sit for long periods. Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced and stressful work environment. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, managers, students and parents. Possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Prior successful experience in higher education preferred.
Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred.
Work Schedule:
This is a non-exempt position requiring 40 hours per week, 12-month position. Evening and weekend work may be required.
