Monmouth University is seeking applications for an Assistant Registrar for Curriculum Maintenance, Degree Audit, and NCAA Compliance in the Office of the Registrar.

The candidate would be expected to: represent the Office of the Registrar on the Athletics Eligibility Team, for the purpose of providing an organized process for certifying continuing eligibility for each student-athlete; coordinate the program evaluation and degree audit process and serve as the representative on both the Undergraduate and Graduate Studies Committees (USC and GSC); create and maintain the academic program requirements; provide outreach to students and advisors regarding anticipated program completion and graduation procedures; routinely track degree progress, as completion nears; troubleshoot audit issues and direct students to appropriate resources; coordinate the graduation process for the Office of the Registrar (OR) and serve as the OR's representative on the Commencement committee.

Anticipated opening pending budget approval.

This is an in-person on-campus, non-remote position.

  • Bachelor's degree or higher

  • Five (5) years of experience with an integrated records system

  • Experience in the development and implementation of new products

  • Ability to foster enthusiasm and commitment while collaborating as a team to meet the goals and deadlines of graduation and commencement

  • Good presentation skills, as well as strong planning and organizational skills

  • Ability to make decisions in a timely manner using proven problem-solving skills

  • Proven ability to conduct both qualitative and quantitative problem analysis

  • Ability to set priorities and identify areas of concern

  • Ability to take responsibility of key organizational issues, showing good judgment, and the ability to set timelines and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Registrar office experience, with knowledge of programming and maintaining degree audit requirements

Duty

As a member of the University Athletics eligibility team, you will be required to follow the continued academic eligibility certified process for each student athlete, as outlined by the Department of Athletics.

Regular or Occasional Regular Duty

Coordinate the graduation process for the Office of the Registrar (OR) and serve as the OR's representative on the Commencement committee.

Coordinate the program evaluation and degree audit process and serve as the representative on both the Undergraduate and Graduate Studies Committees (USC and GSC). Create and maintain the academic program requirements.

Create the technical and training materials for use by the University community to obtain student degree audit information.

Provide technical support in the areas of curriculum maintenance, degree audit, and graduation to assist all users (faculty, staff, and students, when applicable).

Certify degree completion for graduation, including awarding Latin Honors, Honors School, and Department Honors credentials. Review graduating senior records to ensure they meet the criteria for graduation and the student system (Ellucian) is updated in a timely manner.
