Description
Position Summary
To perform functions in the Office of the Registrar related to registration, records management, and ad hoc project leadership. Reports directly to the Registrar.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Participate in innovative continuous improvements in the Office of the Registrar.
Work collaboratively with Walsh University faculty and staff.
Assist the University Registrar with the annual Catalog revisions and Curriculum Guides
Process Transient Student Authorization Requests and evaluate college transcripts for transient students.
Conduct graduation audits each semester.
Build electronic registration appointments.
Revise and maintain academic forms (hard-copy and electronic)
Update and maintain the Office of the Registrar website.
Assist in processing semester registrations and course changes.
Participate in Commencement (rotation with Registrar)
Assist with National Student Loan Clearinghouse certifications.
Maintain and facilitate the Production Calendar activities.
Maintain and update Office of the Registrar Procedures manual.
Assist University Registrar with compilation of academic standing and dean's list.
Assist with NCAA Division II Compliance Reviews.
Assist University Registrar with Veteran Certifications
Participate in professional growth and development opportunities.
Help manage the department budget, approving purchases under 100.00, approving staff time worked/vacation, etc. in PayCom.
Aid in the responsibility for creating the University catalogs (UG/GR) and academic curriculum guides and conduct training for faculty on new systems and appropriate department processes.
Assist in institute trainings for faculty usage of the Cavalier Center and Banner
Assist in creating intentional connections and engagement opportunities for our military students.
Assist in providing FERPA training (faculty and staff)
Aid in providing enhanced cross-training among staff within the Student Service Center on registrar-related processes.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required.

Required Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
Must understand and support the Mission, Vision, and Code of Ethical Conduct of Walsh University, as a Catholic higher education university as expressed in Ex Corde Ecclesiae, and possess the following:
Education:
Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred with 2-4 years' experience in higher education registrar/academic office setting and experience with student database preferred.
Minimum Qualifications:
Excellent customer service
Computer experience including data entry, word processing, and creating spreadsheets.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to pull, compile, and present data in a useful way.
Excellent organizational and time management skills with the initiative and ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.
Excellent conflict resolution and decision-making skills
Excellent communication skills
Ability to multi-task in a busy, sometimes noisy environment
Work Experience:
At least two to five years' work experience in a professional setting (higher education preferred but not required)
Skills and abilities:
Professional demeanor and ability to interact with charity towards students, staff, and faculty. A positive attitude is a must.
