Job Description

Summary/Objective:

Responsible for teaching private and group lessons for all ages and skill levels and assisting with; racquetball camps, clinics, court maintenance, racquet stringing, and junior development.

Essential Functions

• Assist with the supervision of racquetball play

• Provide competent racquetball instruction for all groups and levels of players

• Assist with the junior development of competitive players

• Conduct private and group lessons

• Assist with coordinating junior clinics and matches

• Assist with pro shop sales and court bookings

• String racquets and provide knowledgeable recommendations to members about their string and equipment

• Assist with club racquetball events and tournaments

• Deliver outstanding service to our members, guests, and fellow team members with friendliness, direct eye contact, and a pleasant demeanor

• Promote the safety and security of all participants at all times

• Maintain a notable visual presence during work shifts

• Communicate program policies and expectations to members and/or guests to ensure a high level of safety and service at all times

• Maintain the highest standard of cleanliness throughout the facility while providing outstanding customer service to all children and parents

Requirements

Physical Demands

• Must be able to fully participate in all racquetball activities (programs and/or lessons)

• Must be able to stand, move, walk, and bend for the duration of a shift

• Must have the ability and willingness to work varied shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Required competencies, education, and experience

• Prior experience instructing racquetball required

• Prior experience with racquetball youth programming

• Must be at least 16 years old

• Club cleanliness is an all-team responsibility; assist whenever necessary in any area of the club to keep the club neat and clean

• Assist with Service Days

• Willingness to assist with Sportsclub programs, special events, or activities outside your department

• When the supervisor or team members call or emails, promptly return the contact

• Exhibit a positive attitude at all times

• Deliver outstanding service to members and guests with friendliness, direct eye contact, and a pleasant demeanor at all times
