Position: Assistant Property Manager
Location: The Balton, Metro 125, Douglass Park and St. Nicholas Park, New York, NY
Key Qualifications: Strong analytical/problem-solving skills, with the ability to exercise independent judgment and sound decision-making in a complex regulatory environment. Experience with various city agencies to maintain regulatory compliance, inclusive of NYS, HCR, HDC, HPD, HRA, CityPheps, and DOB. Familiar with NYC Local Law Requirements and familiar with Affordable Housing Regulations.

Responsibilities:
Assist the Property Manager in achieving community goals and objectives
Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations
Handle resident inquiries and complaints promptly and courteously
Manage work orders and maintenance requests using Yardi software
Coordinate lease renewals and rental increases
Conduct unit inspections and move-in/out processes
Support leasing activities and resident relations
Maintain accurate records and documentation
Requirements:
Education:
Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
Experience:
2+ years in Assistant or Leasing positions within the apartment industry
Prior experience with tax credit/affordable communities and experience using Yardi software preferred
Skills & Certifications:
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and Property Management software, strong communication and organizational skills
Knowledge of Fair Employment Housing and EEO laws
Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are a plus
Valid Driver's License required
Tax Credit/Affordable (LIHTC) experience preferred
