Assistant Project Manager - Secret Clearance

This position will provide support in performing project task definition and workload planning, acquisition management, funds management, and financial cost accounting. * Key responsibilities: * Act as overall lead, manager, and administrator for project. * Support budgeting, project, and program planning, and maintain program information in business enterprise tools which may include but are not limited to: SAP/Navy ERP; Work in Progress Database; Program Management Tools; Command Staffing work-year database; and Workload Assignment Agreements. * Serve as the primary interface and Point of Contact with government program team on program/project actions. * Oversee contractor execution of contractor requirements. * Manage acquisition and employment of program and project resources. * Support project leads in the performance of program tasks, respond to administrative and programmatic data calls, and provide administrative planning related to program events and the day-to-day operations of assigned projects. * Provide life-cycle acquisition management. * Potential travel may be required to support customer requirements as needed.QualificationsQualificationsRequired:* BS/BA degree in arts or science. Business, economics, or management background preferred. Defense Acquisition University Level 2 or equivalent. * An active DoD Secret clearance* 2+ years of DoD acquisition experience with at least one year being focused in program management; four years of experience preferred. * Technical understanding of and experience working with Navy systems. * Implementing policy and coordinating Navy procedures. * Developing project budgets. * Government contract and procurement policies to meet life-cycle support requirements. * Microsoft office application * Personal computer, printer, copy machine and other general office equipment. * Working knowledge of team function within the organization; broad knowledge of the field with demonstrated leadership skills. * Works within established guidelines, processes, and procedures.
