Role Summary:

To assist, coordinate, and manage consumer-guided sensory research projects while working alongside a team of senior researchers, other internal departments, and clients. Responsible for assisting in the research design and study documentation, along with its implementation and execution.

General Responsibilities

  • Executing assigned duties and tasks involved in the research process, including but not limited to client proposals, recruitment screeners, product questionnaires, internal operations documents, kitchen preparation documents, and reporting

  • Works well in a team environment, able to balance multiple and/or shifting priorities and flexes to provide appropriate support for project work as needed

  • Regular client interaction and communication to ensure the project objectives are being met, along with all deadlines and internal deliverables

  • Attend weekly department meetings with internal teams to discuss project status and needs

  • Assist the Director of Research and Sensory Science with project needs as they arise and occasionally go onsite to help with project execution

  • High attention to detail and ability to handle quick-paced decision-making

  • Communicate clearly with all internal team members and externally with clients

  • Coordinate research projects happening in multiple company locations across the US and Canada, and occasionally beyond

  • Flexible to work onsite or in-person with specific client(s) - TBD based on business need

  • Additional duties as necessary

Required Education and Experience

  • Associates degree with a focus associated with management, market research, marketing, or a related field

  • Coursework in sensory science, statistics, food science, consumer behavior, or project management is an asset

  • Computer skills including but not limited to, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams

  • Hospitality or Food Industry background/experience is an asset

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, salary position. Ability to work flexible hours (extended weekday and occasional weekend hours). This role is static but could require infrequent lifting of up to 15 pounds. Travel may be required between various sites and/or to client locations.
