The Facilities Maintenance Project Manager will be responsible for the execution of plant and infrastructure upgrades and replacements that are funded by Capital. The scope of the projects include structural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, fire equipment and other system repairs and replacements.
Responsibilities for each project include:
Oversee and direct assigned design and construction management consultants hired to implement the necessary repairs and replacements of plant and infrastructure equipment.
Support the design process and assist Cooper Facilities Staff in the final selection of equipment for Hospital Based projects.
Conduct competitive bidding, level bids, make recommendations to award, construction administration, projects schedules and budgets.
Act as the primary interface for the communication with all users affected by design and construction.
Track budget, expenditures, and work progress using the Web Based Project Management System.
General Responsibilities of the Role:
Assist all Facilties Project Managers MEP designs that support the best interest of the institution.
Assist Maintenance Department as necessary on shut downs and emergent maintenance needs.
Develop and keep current all documents necessary to support maintenance in the event of emergent equipment failures and unscheduled shutdowns.
Scheduled Days / Hours: Monday through Friday
BS.in a related field or equivalent experience.
10+ years in Maintenance and/or Construction Management.
Knowledge of Basic Healthcare Codes and Operations; including but not limited to NFPA 101, NFPA 99, ICRA, ILSM, and construction safety.
Cooper University Health Care
