Assistant Project Manager

Assistant Project Manager Location: Nashville, TN 37212 We are looking to add an Assistant Project Manager to our team This role is responsible for ensuring timely and cost-effective completion of projects by assisting with all phases. This entails working with a variety of stakeholders to schedule and plan work, coordinate equipment and materials, operate within budget, and monitor overall progress. The main focus of this position is to build a baseline understanding of the project management department and its interactions with the on-site team and other internal departments. A successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to multitask, stay organized, and must work well under pressure. Job-site travel is required. This is a very fast-paced, schedule driven position, and you must have excellent interpersonal skills. This is an in-office position. Responsibilities: Train with Sr. Project Managers on Cooper Steel projects, processes, etc. Assist on successful and timely completion of Cooper Steel projects Work with Project Coordinators to understand job flow and document transmittal Clearly communicate with all on-site team members, subcontractors, erectors, and other personnel Learn to understand and work with Cooper Steel software and programs such as Raken, QuickBase, Tekla, etc. Maintain real-time project timeline and data to be sent internally and to external partners Learn all aspects and train/shadow on responsibilities of On-Site Project Management roles Travel to job sites regularly Requirements: Bachelor's degree in related field 0-2 years related experience (construction industry preferred) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work together and as part of a team Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and strong computer literacy skills in general
