Assists in the management of personnel and resources associated with the Project to deliver consistent and professional services to the client. Ensure effective facility performance and compliance of distribution system and collections system. Oversee outside pump stations to assure proper operation. Position assists in the training of staff and assures sampling procedures are correctly administered and adhered to. Duties include, but are not limited to:
Plan, organize, direct, and control the maintenance of designated facilities.
Ensure that plant resources are being utilized to achieve contract objectives.
Ensure that facility permit requirements are met.
Assists in the development of annual budgets for General Manager's review. Monitor and aggressively control all budget elements to ensure cost effective service.
Through aggressive management, ensure plant appearance and standards are met and upheld.
Recommend and implement improvements to operational and maintenance aspects to more effectively achieve stated project objectives.
Ensure that uniform monitoring and record keeping are performed plant wide. Areas of record keeping include regulatory reporting, laboratory, operations and maintenance.
Develop, improve, and coordinate safety, process control, and maintenance training programs.
Advise subordinates in complex operational and maintenance problem diagnoses.
Ensure that subordinate employees follow established administrative, safety, operating, and maintenance policies and procedures.
Assists with baseline client relations duties including preparation and presentation of progress and special reports, participating in client meetings and professional handling and resolution of client service problems.
Assists with administration of client contracts to ensure compliance and customer satisfaction.
Familiarity and adherence to all environmental and safety compliance regulations.
Proficient knowledge of MicroSoft Office including Excel, Word, Outlook and Powerpoint.
Above average computer, reading, mathematical, and scientific skills.
Good presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
Ability to diagnose complex process control problems and direct remedial action.
Ability to effectively lead employees.
Ability to plan, organize, direct, train, and assign duties to subordinates.
5-7 years' experience operating water/wastewater treatment facilities.
5+ years' experience managing facilities and supervising employees.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Bachelor's Degree preferred
NJ W-3 and/or NJ C-3 certification required or ability to obtain in 12 months.
Valid Driver's License required.
