JOB DESCRIPTION.
The Assistant Program Manager is responsible for ensuring assigned sites are providing a safe and secure environment for students and staff. This position is also responsible for ensuring assigned sites are compliant with agency, district and program policies and procedures. The Assistant Program Manager is responsible for managing administrative tasks and providing assigned sites support, which includes, but is not limited to, site observations, student observations, transitional assistant process recruitment and orientation of all 1:1 ASES program staff, daily operation and upkeep of sites. This position provides coverage for Site Directors.
JOB COMPLEXITY.
Ensure teams compliance with mandatory reporting laws and mandatory incident reporting and other compliance items as required
Responsible for developing, implementing supportive action plans with the purpose of guiding site staff in areas of improvement and ensure that goals are met
Responsible for reviewing and approving all disciplinary documents implemented by the Site Directors and ensuring documentation is in accordance with procedures
and timelines established by Human Resources
Create agendas with meeting notes and facilitate team meetings on a monthly basis with Site Directors
Responsible for supervising, coaching, training, directing and evaluating up to Site Directors (up to 8), Itinerant Youth Leader (1) and Itinerant Site Directors (1)
Responsible for holding regular Team Meetings and Supervision Meetings to ensure consistency amongst staff as well as to review policies and procedures
MINIMUM COMPETENCIES.
Must have an AA OR 48 college units OR pass the District's Classroom Assistant Proficiency Exam (a basic math and literacy test)
Must have either a minimum of 12 completed college units in child development, elementary and/or middle school education, recreation or related field OR
a minimum of 12 months documented work experience in an ASES program
Experience in managing personnel matters including employee performance improvement plans and applying progressive disciplinary policies and procedures
2 years supervisory experience in field or related field
Must have a valid Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification upon hire

Schedule:
Monday to Friday
Must be able to work split shifts as required
Flexible schedule but must be able to work a 6am
2:30pm shift AND 9:30am
6pm shift each week
