This program is a 12 bed residential unit located on the main campus of Devereux in Rutland, MA. You would be working with a male population ages 15-21 years old. The program is operated with a staff to student ratio of 1:3.

The emphasis of programming on our North Wing is to teach, coach and support our students to learn daily living skills, coping skills and social skills while staying active and having fun!

You will work with other dedicated professionals who share your passion for helping individuals in need. You will supervise staff, run shifts, assist the Program Manager with development of programming for the unit and attending Treatment Reviews as part of the milieu team. You will have opportunities to interact directly with clients as well as staff.

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health - Massachusetts and Rhode Island provides programs and services for children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Located in Rutland, MA, this position is responsible for the safety and security of all youth as assigned and provides and ensures therapeutic interventions in a compassionate and safe environment.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Two years experience working directly with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities and/or mental health diagnoses required

  • Bachelors degree in Human Services or related field preferred

  • Previous supervisory experience preferred

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Proficient computer skills and mastery of Microsoft Office applications

  • Ability to be flexible, patient, energetic, and creative

  • Have a strong passion for working with and helping adolescents/adults with special needs

  • Must be 21 years of age

  • Valid driver's license
