Assistant Program Director

Position Responsibilities/Essential Job Functions:
I. Designated Coordinator/Designated Manager Responsibilities:
Assist with Designated Coordinator duties for individuals, providing supervision, support, and evaluation of activities.
Participate in referral, admission, and service initiation planning.
Coordinate service transfer or termination from assigned divisions.
Perform side effects monitoring for psychotropic medication when assigned.
Complete Program Manager Review of Services, service plan reviews, and coordinate medical needs.
Ensure individuals' finances are handled efficiently, including establishing new accounts and reconciling checking accounts.
Facilitate person-centered planning and service delivery outcomes.
Provide instruction and assistance to direct support staff implementing the CSSP-A.
II. Program Management and Oversight of Services Provided:
Maintain a current understanding of licensing requirements and ensure compliance.
Coordinate paperwork and be available during licensing reviews.
Perform annual audits of permanent files for all assigned divisions.
Implement corrective actions following incident and emergency reports.
Assess the satisfaction of persons served by the division.
Ensure staff competency requirements are met and staff orientation/training is provided.
Evaluate information to develop ongoing service improvements.
III. Personnel and Supervision Responsibilities:
Respond to questions from Program Managers on policies and procedures.
Assist with emergencies during business hours for assigned divisions.
Perform day-to-day activities during Program Director's paid time off/leave of absence.
Review and sign personnel status change notices and requests for time off.
Assist in hiring and supervising direct care staff for new developments.
IV. General/Household Management/Financial Responsibilities:
Address household account questions, needs, or concerns for assigned residential divisions.
Ensure household accounts are maintained and monthly Analysis of Expenditures is reviewed.
Coordinate and follow up on the maintenance needs of assigned divisions.
Assist in responding to Requests for Proposals and in the design and development of new services.
Attend monthly Program Manager meetings and assist in follow-up on raised issues.
Minimum Qualifications:
Three or more years of supervisory-level experience in a program providing direct support services.
Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a field related to human services, or equivalent education and training.
Valid driver's license and ability to drive own vehicle.
