This is a professional exempt position responsible for assessing all referrals from the Child Protection Investigator. Responsible for coordinating the appropriate diversion wraparound team for families involved with the Department of Children and Families (DCF) to ensure child safety needs are met in conjunction with provision of family strengthening. To provide supervision, guidance, and support to the Family Engagement Specialist (FES), Wraparound Specialists (WS), Family Advocates (FA), and the Program Assistant (PA). Works closely with the Program Director in overseeing the Safe At Home Central Florida Program.
Florida Administrative Code 65C-15.017 Personnel:
Agency staff responsible for supervision shall have a masters degree in social work or a related area of study from an accredited college or university and at least two years of experience in human services or child welfare programs. A bachelors degree in social work from an accredited college or university or related area of study and four years of experience in human services or child welfare programs may be substituted. A doctorate in social work or a related area of study may be substituted for one year of the required experience.
Florida Certification Board(preferred):
Minimum of a Bachelors Degree from an Accredited College or University.
Case Management/Licensing: Bachelors Degree in a related field;
Related degrees are Behavioral Sciences, Community Development, Criminology/Criminal Justice. Education, Health Science, Human Development, Human Sciences, Human Services, Law, Political Science, Public Administration, Psychology, Social Policy, Sociology, Social Work.
Must possess a Masters of Social Work Degree, Masters of Mental Health Counseling and Psychology or Related Masters Degree and a minimum of 4 years Child Welfare experience. Must successfully complete a minimum of 40 hours of intensive in-service training within ninety calendar days of hiring. Must complete a minimum of 40 hours of continuing education/in-service training annually.
