Assistant Program Administrator

Duties

• Assisting in the operations of all aspects of the Southeast Alternative School and Pathways Program and facility.

• Develop and maintain quality school and community relations.

• Assist in design and implementation of curricula that supports the learning and social emotional goals of the program.

• Implement data based decision making processes related to student behavior and academic achievement.

• Assist with the implementation of staff development programs that align with student learning and social-emotional goals for all staff members.

• Assist in the continuous School Improvement process.

• Provide leadership to assure the implementation of all SASED policies.

• Assist in the supervision and evaluation of certified and non-certified staff

• Assist in the planning of building and leadership team meetings.

• Assist in the coordination of the repair and maintenance of the Southeast Alternative School.

• Attend and participate in IEP meetings.

• Coordinate the restorative practices and proactive strategies and interventions through the Pathways Program.

• Lead the Building Safety Committee and implement protocols

• Provide professional development and support for crisis de escalation.

Qualifications

• Illinois Type 75 or another Administrative Certificate

• Experience in teaching, related service or administrative position within special education (minimum of 5 years)

• Experience working with students with social/emotional challenges

• Illinois Qualified Evaluator

Salary/Benefits

This is a 205 day Administrative position

Salary Range is 75,000-80,000 based on experience
