The Division of Behavioral Medicine and Clinical Psychology (BMCP) at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center (CCHMC) is seeking a psychologist to join the Pediatric Sleep Center at CCHMC (https://www.cincinnatichildrens.org/service/s/sleep). Our faculty includes board-certified sleep specialists including psychologists, pulmonologists, neurologists, otolaryngologists, and an advance practice nurse (https://www.cincinnatichildrens.org/service/s/sleep/team). Program growth has created the opportunity to expand our clinical faculty. The full-time pediatric psychologist will work in a multidisciplinary setting and provide evidence-based evaluation, consultation and treatment to pediatric patients with complex sleep disorders.
Responsibilities for this position include providing outpatient behavioral sleep medicine (BSM) assessment and treatment for children referred to the Sleep Center with a range of clinical concerns including insomnia, parasomnia, hypersomnia, circadian rhythm disorders, and sleep disordered breathing. There are also academic and publication opportunities available if applicant is interested.
The ideal candidate will have completed a doctorate in clinical or school psychology (APA accredited), be licensed or license-eligible in Ohio and through PsyPACT, and completed postdoctoral training focused on child clinical/pediatric psychology. Formal BSM training is preferred. Our robust BSM training program and faculty are able to support junior faculty gaining competency in behavioral sleep medicine. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Required:
Doctor of Medicine OR Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine OR equivalent
Unrestricted licensed physician
Approval/credentialing from CCHMC Medical Staff Services Division
Completion of all required pre-employment activities
Assistant Professor appointment or eligibility
Prior clinical practice experience may be required based on the needs of the department
