Keene State College's Psychology Department seeks applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor to begin August 2024.

We are seeking a candidate with a PhD (or ABD) who studies the intersection of clinical, social, and cultural issues. Preference will be given to candidates with a degree in clinical or counseling psychology.

The successful candidate will teach courses in social psychology, culture and psychology, abnormal psychology, personality, clinical and/or counseling psychology.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to conduct research with undergraduates and supervise undergraduate, pre-professional practica. The teaching load is three 4 credit courses per academic semester.

Additional responsibilities include participating in departmental activities and campus-wide service, maintaining an active record of scholarship, and engaging in professional development.

Posting Number PF0838FY24 Acceptable Minimum Qualifications

Ph.D in Psychology. ABD near completion will be considered but must be complete by August 1, 2024. Preference will be given to candidates with a degree in clinical or counseling psychology.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

Teaching experience at the college or university level is stongly preferred; evidence of scholarship in the field preferred. Additionally, the College has identified desirable qualifications that support our commitment to creating and maintaining a diverse campus community including the ability to speak a second language or to bring a multicultural perspective to the campus.

Salary Information

Salary is in accordance with the prevailing Collective Bargaining Unit Agreement; rank minimum for fall 2024 is $75,230 for Assistant Professor. Salary is complemented by a comprehensive benefits package.
