JOB SUMMARY

The School of Nursing is seeking a nurse educator with a strong commitment to teaching excellence, scholarship, and innovation. The individual must be able to work collaboratively with a dynamic team, as well as work independently when necessary.

This individual will serve as a member of the School of Nursing faculty with responsibility for teaching within the traditional program.

Specialty area of particular interest: Critical Care. Other areas of interest are Medical-Surgical Nursing and Maternal/Infant Child.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Functions:

• Teaching didactic and clinicals

• Advising traditional undergraduate students

• Work under pressure and meet deadlines

• Maintain positive interpersonal relationships

• Actively participate in assessment

• Service on committees

• Other duties, consistent with educator's talents and experience, to support the

• School of Nursing in achieving program outcomes.

Required Qualifications:

• An understanding of the importance for diversity, inclusion and equity.

• Master of Science in Nursing

• Active, unencumbered RN license in Oklahoma

• Two years or more of clinical experience

• Previous teaching experience preferred

• Capacity for learning required software for advising, student learning management

• systems, and testing

• Commitment to high-quality instruction in a student-centered environment with interest in

• active and collaborative learning as well as instructional use of technology

• Experience in creating courses and evaluating outcomes

Qualifications

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Terminal Degree preferred

• Experience with curriculum design, program implementation, and educational best practices

• Clinical specialty in areas of department need
