Job Summary

Radford University invites applications for a tenure track 12-month assistant professor position in the College of Nursing. Responsibilities include teaching, scholarship, and university service.

Requirements include teaching in the classroom, skills and health assessment labs, and clinical setting in the Prelicensure BSN program. Applicants with specialties in Adult Acute Care and Adult Critical Care are highly desired.

Physical Demands Required Qualifications

Doctorate in Nursing (DNP or PhD) OR both MSN and doctorate in a related discipline (PhD or EdD). Unencumbered license as a registered nurse in Virginia is required.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to those with experience in Adult Acute Care and/or Adult Critical Care.

Recent clinical experience.

Certification in Adult Acute Care and/or Adult Critical Care.

Prior teaching experience preferred: classroom, skills or health assessment laboratory, or clinical practice setting.

Education

Doctorate in Nursing OR both MSN and doctorate in related discipline (PhD or EdD)

Unencumbered Virginia licensure eligibility is required. This position requires current CPR certification.

If certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse, continued certification is expected. Driver's license is required.
