The candidate will work closely with the Director of Clinical Education and will be required to effectively and efficiently use technology to carry out daily responsibilities. Clinical education responsibilities include, but are not limited to student placement, clinical site/instructor evaluation and development, student preparation and assessment, and proficiency in the use of technology related to clinical education operations.
The candidate will be responsible for the development and delivery of cardiopulmonary, vestibular, and neuromuscular program content (academic and clinical), consistent with current and prospective best practices. Additionally, the candidate will provide didactic instruction in the physical therapy curriculum with a primary emphasis on teaching physical therapy students how to evaluate and treat patients with acute, recurrent, and chronic cardiovascular, pulmonary, vestibular, and neuromuscular dysfunction. Supervision of physical therapy students in the on-campus, pro-bono clinic is required. Additional responsibilities include assisting in program development, serving as an academic advisor, engaging in scholarly activity including supervision of research advisees, assisting with accreditation, and providing service to the department, college, university, community, and profession.
