The College of Business and Security Management at the University of Alaska Fairbanks invites applications for a tenure track position at the Assistant Professor rank in the Homeland Security and Emergency Management program. The successful candidate will possess a Ph.D. in Homeland Security and Emergency Management, or a related field, or all but dissertation.
Preference will be given to candidates with practical experience in Homeland Security and/or Emergency Management, computer hazard modeling, cybersecurity, and applied risk as it applies to security frameworks. Primary duties are to teach five or six courses per year at the undergraduate/graduate level. Outstanding teaching and excellent communication skills are required.

Minimum Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Homeland Security and Emergency Management or a related field, or ABD.
Experience with applied risk and security frameworks (national and/or international). Experience teaching HSEM courses at the university level.
Position Details:
This position is located on the Troth Yeddha' campus in Fairbanks, Alaska. This is a full-time (ten-month) tenure track faculty position complete with both a competitive salary and a full employee benefits package.

New hires will be placed on the UNAC Grade 30 wage scale, final salary will be based on education and experience.
