Responsibilities include directing choral activities, the BSC Concert Choir and Chamber Choir, choral conducting, assisting with the spring musical, preparing music for BSC events, recruiting students for performance ensembles and music major/minor emphasis. Potential responsibilities could include teaching Aural Skills I-IV, Applied Voice, Music Appreciation, coordinating Annual BSC Choir Festival, facilitating state and regional music festivals, or other areas of expertise or interest. Responsibilities include student advising, committee work, and other duties as assigned by Department Chair and/or the Dean of Humanities, Arts & Sciences.



  • Master's degree in choral conducting.

  • Documented successful experience teaching choral music.

  • Ability to work cooperatively with diverse groups and ability to work as a team member.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to articulate and support the community college philosophy with a strong commitment to teaching and learning in a community college setting.

  • Good working knowledge of computer software programs (i.e., Microsoft Office, email & electronic calendar - Outlook).

  • Creative in using a variety of teaching resources, media and instructional technologies.


  • Earned doctorate (PhD or DMA).

  • Experience with distance delivery of courses.

  • Documented successful teaching experience.

  • Experience with musical theater.

VIEW JOBS 3/31/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-06-29T00:00 Assistant Professor - Biomedical Sciences Position 00014704 & 00016431 UNIVERSITY OF NORTH DAKOTA SCHOOL OF MEDICINE AND HEALTH SCIENCES, Department of Biomedical Sciences, Assistant Professor, Position #'s 00014704 & 00016431 The Department of Biomedical Sciences and the Epigenetics Working Group (EWG) at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences are recruiting two highly motivated individuals for full-time, tenure-track positions at the rank of Assistant Professor in the broad area of epigenetics including, but not limited to chromatin biology, DNA methylation, regulatory RNA, or epigenomics/ epitranscriptomics in development and/or disease. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. at the time of application and demonstrate a strong research record of scholarly achievements including excellent publications. Preference will be given to individuals who can bring skills or approaches complementary to current investigators in the EWG. Examples include, but are not limited to, unique experimental systems, animal models, or a strong background in combining computational methods and high-throughput sequencing to study the epigenetics of development and disease. The newly hired faculty members will be expected to join the EWG, supported by cutting-edge resources including bioinformatics, genomics, proteomics, and imaging core facilities. Candidates should have a strong record of mentoring appropriate to their career stage and will be expected to contribute to the overall mission of the EWG, the Department, the School, and the University of North Dakota.
