POSITION INFORMATION: This is a full-time, unclassified, 9-month, tenure-track position. The appointment begins August 2024.

SALARY: $50,000 - $55,000
Candidates that hold a master's degree will be approved for $50,000 salary with the opportunity to advance to $55,000 once terminal degree is completed.
Candidates that hold a terminal degree will be approved for $55,000 salary.

Position Duties/Responsibilities
The Kinesiology Assistant Professor is responsible for functions related to teaching 15 hours of undergrad and/or graduate (if applicable) courses involving the skills of a physical medicine professional and general knowledge involved with kinesiology related fields. The Kinesiology Assistant Professor will work closely with other faculty members of the Kinesiology department, undergraduate and graduate students within the Kinesiology department, as well as internship partners within the community as an internship coordinator.
The Kinesiology Assistant Professor will be responsible for advising kinesiology undergrad, and possibly graduate students if applicable, across 2-4 concentrations within the Kinesiology department, as well as serve on departmental and university committees. The Kinesiology Assistant Professor will be responsible for participating in recruiting events within an academic year.
Required/Preferred Qualifications
Required:
Teaching experience in higher education
Master's or greater in a Kinesiology field ofAthletic Training or Physical Medicine or master's or greater in Kinesiology or related field with a valid license or certification in a physical medicine setting.
If an applicant holds the highest degree of a masters, applicant must show an initiative in pursuing a terminal degree in kinesiology.
Preferred:
Additional certifications related to Kinesiology
Experience as a mentor or supervisor in the physical medicine setting
Experience with recruitment
