The William & Mary School of Education invites applications for the tenure-eligible position of Assistant Professor of Educational Leadership, which will begin in August 2020. The Educational Policy, Planning, and Leadership (EPPL) Department includes master's (M.Ed.) and doctoral (Ed.D. and Ph.D.) programs in PK-12 Educational Leadership; doctoral programs in Curriculum and Learning Design and Gifted Education; and master's and doctoral programs in Higher Education.
The focus of this position is to contribute to the PK-12 Educational Leadership program area. We offer a variety of course delivery models. The M.Ed. program offers cohorts in partnership with consortia of local and statewide school districts.
The Ed.D. is offered in an executive format that includes blended and online course delivery, while the Ph.D. is offered primarily in a face-to-face on-campus format. We are looking for scholars committed to professional service and educational equity, diversity, and inclusion in educational leadership. The successful candidate will:
1.* Teach graduate courses in Educational Leadership supporting the M.Ed., Executive Ed.D., and Ph.D. programs, with an emphasis on educational leadership (e.g., leadership theory and practice, the principalship, instructional leadership, professional development)
2.* Develop/maintain a record of scholarship at a level of national prominence, including contributing regularly to refereed publications, national presentations, and grants/contracts
3.* Support the EPPL master's and doctoral programs through student advisement, serving on doctoral committees, directing dissertations, and contributing to ongoing program development
4.* Contribute to School of Education and EPPL governance and outreach efforts (e.g., involvement in professional organizations at the state and national levels, work with state and local educational agencies)
