Emmanuel College School of Education seeks an outstanding candidate for a position in Middle / High School Curriculum Methods at the Assistant Professor level beginning in fall, 2020. Teaching load is three undergraduate and/or graduate courses per semester. The successful candidate must be prepared to teach Middle/High School methods courses and other related education courses.
Supervision of student teachers is also part of the teaching load in selected semesters. The individual must demonstrate a clear commitment to excellence in teaching, to culturally responsive classroom pedagogy, to the preparation of effective and resilient teachers for urban districts, to collaboration with public and parochial schools in urban areas, as well as knowledge of the Department of Elementary Secondary current Candidate Assessment Performance (CAP) process.
An Ed.D. Degree is preferred. Minimum of ten year of teaching experience in public/parochial school is required.
