Assistant Professor Of Criminal Justice

The School of Education & Social Sciences at Missouri Valley College invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice to begin in August 2024. This position is a full-time, on-campus, renewable, non-tenure track position. Collegiality, professionalism, and a strong commitment to teaching excellence and the college mission are required.

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities

• Teach assigned courses as specified in the course schedule and contract.

• Guide students to succeed through personal instruction and intellectual inquiry.

• Prepare and distribute to students a complete and comprehensive syllabus as per institutional guidelines for every course taught.

• Respond to student work, communications, and requests in a timely manner.

• Maintain a positive, productive, and respectful classroom environment.

• Complete assigned or accepted responsibilities, including routine administrative tasks, with accuracy and attention to detail by established deadlines.

• Comply with all institutional policies, requirements, and procedures.

• Hold 10 student hours weekly/Teach F2F courses assigned utilizing Brightspace LMS.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree with a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in Criminal Justice, Law, or a related field from an accredited institution required.

• Terminal degree in Criminal Justice or related field from an accredited institution preferred.

• Previous teaching experience in a college or university setting is preferred.
