The Department of Advertising, Public Relations and Social Media (ADPR) at Suffolk University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Advertising at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning July 1, 2021.
Faculty responsibilities for this position include a total teaching load of five courses per academic year (typically three undergraduate and two graduate courses), advising and mentoring students, maintaining a productive research and publication trajectory, and actively participating in the life of the department, college, and university through participation in shared governance and other service activities.
The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in Advertising, Marketing Communication, or related field (in hand by July 1, 2021). Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated college/university teaching excellence and professional experience in Advertising. The successful candidate will also demonstrate the ability to teach courses such as Advertising I, Ad Copy, Media Planning, Ad Campaigns, Online Advertising, Account Planning and Research, and Agency Management, as well as courses to support the University's first-year general education curriculum, as needed.
