The Department of Nursing invites applications for a nine month tenure-track position starting in the Fall of 2024 at the Assistant Professor rank.
Provide service to the School of Nursing, College of Health Professions, University, and nursing profession/community.
Responsible for assisting with the accreditation process of the MSN program.
Work with full and part time faculty.
Curricular development, revision, and evaluation.
Active engagement in student recruitment, admission, and progression
Seek external funding for programmatic enhancements.
Establish partnership for future the mission of the program.
Lead evaluation of program and students' outcomes.
Teach students in the Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) program and advise graduate nursing students.
Engage in scholarship and research.
The department also seeks candidates who will contribute to the University's general education curriculum and its emphasis on using high-impact teaching practices, particularly those affiliated with one (or more) of the institution's pedagogical initiatives (e.g., Community-based Learning, Critical Thinking, First Year Seminar, Writing Across Curriculum, etc.). Additionally, the ideal candidate will contribute to the College's support of interdisciplinary programs of study.
Candidates interviewing on campus submit unofficial transcripts (undergraduate and graduate) directly to the chair of the search committee.

Qualifications
Must be able to perform all essential job duties as outlined in the job description.
Required Qualifications
Education
Doctoral degree in Nursing.
Master of Science in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.
FNP Certification
Current West Virginia Nursing License and APRN certification.
Experience
At least three years practicing in the Advance Practice role.
Cross-cultural communication skills, with multicultural sensitivity and experience interacting effectively with diverse students, faculty, and staff desired.
At least two years' experience teaching at the graduate level.
