Carroll University seeks Assistant Professor- Instructional Faculty of Nursing-Tenue Track for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program. The Department of Nursing, in the College of Health Sciences, offers a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree for entry-level nurses. Candidates who are innovative and value a dynamic and comprehensive approach to curriculum, instruction, and enjoy interacting with students and other health care professional delivering interprofessional education are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities: The primary responsibilities of the position include, teaching and service.

This position is a 9-month appointment, teaching within the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program. Final course assignments will depend upon department needs as well as the experience and preferences of the successful candidate. Current needs include clinical practicum courses in Medical Surgical care as well as the concurrent simulation and skills lab.

Qualifications: MSN degree required, Doctoral Degree (PhD, DNP) preferred, as well as a broader clinical nursing experience, and have a documented record of teaching and clinical expertise. Current Registered Nurse licensure or eligibility for licensure in the State of Wisconsin is required.

Rank and Salary: Faculty Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications.

The Program: The BSN program is approved by the Wisconsin State Board of Nursing and accredited by CCNE through 2030.

The program utilizes a state of the art, 15,000 square foot, nursing simulation laboratory in the newly constructed Douglas N. and Nancy J. Hastad Hall which opened in January 2018. The Department of Nursing has a strong record of private foundation support and federal grant funding through Human Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), Health and Human Services (HHS). Current practicum affiliations include health systems across southeastern Wisconsin and community health agencies.

The College: The College of Health Sciences offers undergraduate and graduate programs through seven departments-Public Health, Athletic Training, Human Movement Sciences, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Physician Assistant Studies.

Health sciences account for ~60% of the University enrollment. The mission of the College of Health Science is to educate students to be innovative professionals who collaborate to serve the health needs of their communities. A dynamic and growing entity, College wide foci include interprofessional education and practice, the integrated approach to health, innovative learning and healthcare technologies, community partnerships and service to medically underserved populations.

The new Carroll University Community Health Services building and partnership with the Waukesha Free Clinic, expands education and clinic opportunities for the College's graduate and undergraduate students.

The College supports the interdisciplinary nature of health science education and has received federal and private foundation grant awards to support these as well as program specific initiatives.
