Assistant Professor, Speech-Language Pathology (Ruskin, FL)

Gannon University's Morosky College of Health Professions and Sciences is seeking applications for tenure track faculty in the Master of Science degree program in Speech-Language Pathology located at the Ruskin, Florida campus. This is a full-time, 12-month position with an academic start date as early as July 2024.

Salary and rank will be commensurate with experience. Ability to teach in one or more of the following areas is preferred: Motor Speech Disorders, Fluency Disorders, Swallowing Disorders, Hearing Disorders and Aural Rehabilitation. Responsibilities for tenure-track faculty include classroom teaching, clinical supervision, advising graduate students in academic and clinical aspects of professional growth, active research/scholarship, and service to the University, profession, and community.

Requirements for this position include an earned research Doctorate (e.g., Ph.D., Ed.D.) in Communication Sciences and Disorders, Speech-Language Pathology, or related area; ASHA CCC/SLP, and hold or be eligible for Florida licensure in SLP. ABD candidates may apply, but completion of the doctorate is required by the start date. Required Qualifications

Licenses and Certifications: ASHA CCC-SLP required; candidates must have or be eligible for Speech-Language Pathology licensure in Florida.

Preferred Qualifications

We are in need of candidates with experience and specialization in the areas of Motor Speech Disorders, Fluency Disorders, Swallowing Disorders, Hearing Disorders and Aural Rehabilitation. Candidates with experience or specialization in these areas are preferred.

A minimum of two (2) years of teaching experience in higher education is preferred.

Physical Demands

Must be able to meet the physical demands associated with a busy academic environment. Work is performed in a busy classroom and office setting. Travel to clinical sites may be necessary on occasion.
