Job Description:
The Business Department seeks a full-time, tenure-track position in Finance at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor beginning Fall 2024. This position seeks a candidate with education and experience to teach, develop, and grow our Bachelor's of Business Administration in Financial Planning program. Education and/or experience in personal financial planning including retirement planning, tax planning, estate planning, insurance, and investment, are strongly preferred. Experience in course and program development and a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion is essential. Teaching responsibilities will encompass a variety of topics related to personal finance and general finance.

The primary focus of this position is teaching, and the ideal candidate is one who is committed to full-time undergraduate teaching. Additional faculty responsibilities include internship coordination, student advisement, student outreach and recruitment, assessment for accreditation, course/program development, ongoing professional development, and university service.

Civic engagement and a commitment to community service are strongly encouraged. Some coursework will be taught online, but this is an on-campus position and requires the selected candidate to be available to teach on campus. A typical teaching load for this position is 15 credit hours per semester.

Requirements:
The Certified Financial Planner (CFP) credential or an MS in Financial Planning or a related master's degree is required. The Certified Financial Planner (CFP) credential and professional financial planning experience is strongly preferred. Credentials of DBA or PhD in a finance-related discipline are preferred. The candidate should have excellent written, verbal, and digital communication skills and strong computer and information systems competencies. Experience with instructional technology and simulation or problem-based instruction is preferred.
