Principle Duties

Purdue University's School of Hospitality & Tourism Management (HTM) is seeking a tenure track Assistant Professor, to teach courses in event and meeting management, beginning in August 2020. Applicants must be committed to excellence in teaching, research, discovery, and service to the hospitality and tourism industries. In addition, the successful candidate is expected to engage in scholarly endeavors that include grant writing, advising students, participating on various committees and pursuing external funding.

Qualifications

Applicants must have meaningful management experience in the hospitality or tourism industries related to Event and Meeting Management. A PhD in hospitality and tourism management or related area is required.

The School of HTM is an integral part of the College of Health and Human Sciences, with a Program ranked among the best in the United States. Purdue HTM is situated in the heart of the main campus in West Lafayette, Indiana.

A successful candidate for this tenure-track position will be expected to teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels, establish a substantial externally-funded research program, maintain an active scholarship agenda, and promote the Construction Management programs through national and international engagement.
