Required Qualifications: PhD or EdD in discipline or related area; ABD considered if doctoral degree is awarded by start date.

Preference given to those eligible for Ohio licensure in audiology, audiology board certified through the American Board of Audiology and/or ASHA CCC-A, college-level teaching experience, and research and grant writing experience. Expertise in audiologic treatment across the lifespan (pediatric and adult population), medical audiology, counseling, diagnosis and treatment of vestibular disorders and/or area of applicant's expertise is desired.

Strong leadership skills desired. Excellent oral and written communication skills. ABD candidates may apply; completion of doctorate required by start date.

The qualified candidate will join a robust AuD program and contribute to it's success through didactic education, research/scholarship, service to the School of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology, and if desired, may provide clinical service and precepting in the University clinic. The desired candidate will be an engaging educator, committed to the success of our students and program. This is a 9-month tenure-track position, but there are opportunities for summer employment in our year-round AuD program.

The Northeast Ohio AuD Consortium: The Northeast Ohio AuD Consortium (NOAC) is a partnership of The University of Akron, Kent State University and the Cleveland Clinic. NOAC is one of the largest AuD programs in the nation with more than 285 graduates since 2005.

School of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (SSLPA): The SSLPA is positioned in the College of Health and Human Sciences. In addition to the AuD program, the School houses an undergraduate program in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and two graduate programs (Master of Arts Degree) in Speech-Language Pathology.

One graduate program is campus-based and the other is a collaborative online program. The SSLPA is committed to promoting an inclusive environment that is inviting and supportive to all prospective and current students, alumni, faculty, staff and the patients and clients we serve in the greater Northeast Ohio community. Our University clinic offers state-of-the-art equipment, and a comfortable atmosphere for student training and patient care.
