Job Description:

The University of Texas at El Paso College of Nursing invites applications for tenured/tenured-track faculty positions at the academic rank of Assistant or full Professor to begin in fall 2024. The tenured/tenure-track faculty appointment carries the expectation for teaching at the undergraduate or graduate level as appropriate.

The successful tenure track Assistant Professor tenure candidate will be expected to develop and maintain an externally funded research program. The successful tenured full Professor candidate will be expected to conduct their established program of research. The candidates are expected to provide service within the College of Nursing, UTEP, the nursing profession, and local community.

There are two positions currently open, one Assistant Professor (tenured track) and one full Professor (tenured).

Requirements:

PhD in Nursing is preferred, PhD in a related field will be considered, MSN in Nursing, eligible for RN or APRN license in Texas.

At the full Professor rank, all candidates should have a strong record of scholarly achievement through publications and securing external grant funding, and a demonstrated record of teaching effectiveness and community service.

At the early-career Assistant Professor rank, all candidates should demonstrate a strong potential to achieve the required qualifications.
