Job Title: Assistant Production Manager
Reports to: Fine Arts Center Production Manager
Objective: The Assistant Production Manager will assist in the coordination of the technical aspects of events; including lighting, rigging, audio/video, and stage management in the Fine Arts Center and other University facilities for presented events, external users and select campus departments. This is a 29hr/week, 10-month position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide direct technical and logistical support for internally and/or externally sponsored events, including concerts, lectures, theatre, and dance, meetings and receptions
Coordinate logistical needs for all users with affected campus departments including IIT, Catering, Physical Plant, and Campus Safety.
Ensure proper and safe use of FAC technical equipment and facilities, including but not limited to lighting, rigging, scene shop, sound, and stage.
Maintain clean and orderly work areas including but not limited to the performance areas and wings, technical control areas, lobbies, and all storage.
Assist in the maintenance of all lighting, staging, rigging, audio/video and fall protection equipment
Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
Knowledge of standard theatrical terminology
Stage management experience (preferred)
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent communications skills, both written and oral
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (O365), windows and Mac OS
Experience with Autocad/Vectorworks preferred
