We are currently hiring for an Assistant Product Manager. In the role of Assistant Product Manager you will be responsible for the design of new products, supporting business development and providing superior technical assistance internally and externally across the OEM and Sports product lines.

Essential Duties

  • Assists with and develop new products in collaboration with the commercial and R&D efforts

  • Provides assistance and support on the application of products to validate the performance

  • Assist with and coordinates effort to introduce new products to the market place

  • Writes technical recommendations or assists/write specifications

  • Reviews and/or compiles data sheets, certificates of analysis and/or packaging.

  • Responsible for providing customers training on technical matters concerning the products

  • Prepare and give visual presentations about the products and the company

  • Responsible for providing reporting and updates to management on assigned projects

  • Perform and coordinate application testing on MAPEI products and those of the competition.

  • Visit job sites to detect and/or solve on-site problems (trouble shooting), provides recommendations and applicable training, as required.

  • Receives and investigates customer service and/or product issues, provides problem resolution and analysis to management.

  • Assist with conducting competitive market intel, preparing various analysis on such data for the commercial management team.

  • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, safety rules and instructions.

  • Perform other duties as required

Qualifications

  • Requires a bachelor's Degree (BS) in Sciences/Chemistry from an accredited institution and/or 1 to 3 years of related experience, and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Able to monitor the status of projects, understand project details, and hold project owners accountable for the delivery of goals; deliver clear, accurate depictions of project statuses and realign resources if necessary.

  • Experience in the manufacturing industry is highly valued.

  • The position requires the ability to work with a personal computer in a Windows environment. Requires proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

  • Proficient oral and written communication skills, including ability to listen, process information, then re-communicate instruction and direction in one-on-one and group settings, including (discussions, presentations, reports, and negotiations, as applicable).

  • Valid driver license

  • Ability to travel, light/moderate at times.
