ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists with job-embedded professional development and support to teachers and staff, including staff evaluations
Assists in the development and implementation of proper public relations in order to further community understanding and support of the school's programs
Maintain a close and constant relationship with the community and assist with the educational program to the citizens of the district
Assists with implementing systems and administrative routines for critical operations to support instruction, emotional and physical safety of students and staff
Promotes the vision and mission to ensure high student achievement and college and career readiness
Assists in implementing a system to formally and informally acknowledge and celebrate individual and team academic success
Collect and analyze student data to support student achievement goals
Collect and analyze teacher data to provide individualized support on teacher goals in accordance with the Leading Observation Instrument
Assist in supporting goals for teachers, support educators and in writing Educator Goal Plans
Assist with student needs analysis used to identify achievement strengths and high-priority areas for improving student learning
Support instructional planning by leveraging research-based practices
Assist with the development and implementation of district curriculum programs.
Assist in facilitating and provide support for Professional Learning Communities, members of the leadership team, and in Collaborative Team Meetings
Participates in School Site Council, Open House, Back to School Night and other related school/community events and organizations.
Serves as acting principal in the absence of the principal.
Maintains regular and prompt attendance in the workplace.
Be present at board meetings
Perform other duties as assigned by principal or superintendent
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Current teaching certificate
Current Administrative certificate
Three years of school teaching experience
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Extensive school teaching experience
Endorsement or extensive course work in multiple content areas
Instructional coaching experience
Use or understanding of Adult Learning Theory
School Administrator experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of:
Current pedagogy and instructional best practices; emerging education research and best practices
Best practices in teaching and learning
Change theory
Adult learning models and implementation
Management Systems
Implementation Strategies
Skilled in:
Locating and synthesizing best practices, emerging concepts, and new research in academia and education
Building relationships with students, faculty members, families and external partners. •Active listening
Group facilitation
Understanding of the foundations and principles of instructional coaching
Making data-driven decisions
Organizing and planning instructional support based on individual needs and priorities
Using data and technology to personalize learning for both adults and students.
Utilizing of a variety of frameworks, platforms, and technology tools to enhance productivity and maintain appropriate records
Building and maintaining positive relationships with students and staff
