ADMINISTRATIVE INTERN

St. Charles West High School

The School District of the City of St. Charles is accepting applications for an Administrative Intern. The following should be reviewed to determine eligibility:

QUALIFICATIONS: The Administrative Intern assists the Principal in the performance of the various leadership responsibilities that include but are not limited to:

• Ability to communicate well and to apply leadership skills within a shared decision-making model.

• Leadership qualities and excellent interpersonal skills.

• Sound educational philosophy and instructional competence.

• Knowledge and prior application of current information, theory and research in education.

• Knowledge of and prior successful experience working in a diverse setting.

• Risk taker willing to approach leadership through change process with demonstrated competency.

• Commitment to innovation and creativity.

• Experience with a school-wide discipline program.

• Experience with a diverse student population.

• A background in computer technology.

• Knowledge and prior application or experience in improving academic achievement.

• Selection, assignment, supervision, and evaluation of classified employees.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of a Master's Degree;

• Hold or be eligible for a valid principal's certificate for grades 9 through 12;

• Three years of teaching experience preferred;

• Leadership experience preferred.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Full Time

EVALUATION: Performance in this position will be evaluated regularly by the supervisor and in accordance with Board Policy.

SALARY: Placement on teacher salary schedule, plus stipend
