Assistant Principal

Job Description:

Dallas County R-1 School District is currently accepting applications for an Assistant Principal for Mallory Elementary School.

Job Summary: The Assistant Principal works closely with the building leader to support more than 700 students Preschool through 4th grade in instruction and behavior.

The Assistant Principal assists the Principal in overall administration of the building and assumes leadership in the school in the absence of the principal. The AP takes a lead role in creating high standards for student expectation in attendance and behavior.

The AP works closely with the School Resource Officer and Communication Director to develop plans for school safety and security.

Qualifications: Qualified candidates will have a valid Missouri principal certificate, will have experience working with elementary students, will have had experience taking lead roles in education and instruction. The candidate will have strong interpersonal skills that reflect mutual respect and patience when interacting with students, parents and staff.
