Assistant Principal

Job Description:

The Ellington Board of Education is seeking an administrator to serve as Interim Assistant Principal of Windermere Elementary School. This assignment will begin in August and continue through December 2024.

The interim assistant principal will support the school principal in the day-to-day operation of the school. Applicants must hold a valid CT Intermediate Administration/Supervision Endorsement (#092). Previous elementary experience is essential.

Windermere School is one of three high-performing suburban elementary schools serving the Town of Ellington, CT. Home to the Windermere Whales, Windermere is a thriving community with a diverse population of over 650 students in grades PreK-6. The school is also embarking on the early phases of a "renovate to new" building project that will leave our Windermere Whales in a brilliant and vibrant new school environment.

Minimum Qualifications

The successful candidate will meet the following minimum qualifications:

• Connecticut certification - Intermediate Administration or Supervision (#092)
• Elementary experience preferred.

Compensation will be according to the Ellington Administrators' Contract.
