Assistant Principal - Steele Elementary School (New Position)

Position Title: Assistant Principal

Location: Steele Elementary School (K-5)

Reports to: Superintendent of Schools/Building Principal

We are seeking a dynamic educational leader to serve as an Assistant Principal of Steele Elementary School. This position is responsible for serving as an educational leader that sets high expectations and promotes the success of all students through: implementation and support of district goals and initiatives; the management of the day-to-day operation of the school; the supervision and evaluation of the professional and support staff; and the maintenance of open communication with parents and the community for the academic and personal growth of our students.

Minimum Qualifications: All applicants must possess a valid PA Administrative Principal Certificate.

Five (5) years of teaching experience which includes previous experience with grades K-5, or primary educational leadership is ideal for this position. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated knowledge and understanding of best practices in instruction; experience working in professional learning communities; working knowledge and use of data and strategic planning is preferred; ability to effectively and strategically interact and communicate orally and in writing with students, parents, and the community for high achievement of all students; and promotes and maintains a safe and effective learning environment. Has excellent team building and management skills and a profound interest in urban education. EOE

Salary Range/Benfits: In accordance with the Act 93 Agreement - depending on experience - base rate- $95,521
