Salary: $41,000 - $55,000 per year. Final compensation is based on factors such as the skills, qualifications, and experience.
Essential Responsibilities
Attend and actively participate in all trainings as assigned.
Create an inspiring team environment with a culture of open communication
Direct, train and support Fitness Staff
Oversee day-to-day operations of Fitness department
Support in implementing teal goals and ensure all daily tasks are completed
Communicate operational and procedure changes from Physical Director
Delegate tasks and set deadlines
Monitor team performance
Motivate team members
Identify training needs, provide coaching and assist with training
Listen to team members' feedback and resolve any issue and conflict
All other job duties assigned by Director
Minimum Qualifications
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to serve a diverse community.
Three or more years of experience as a personal trainer or certified group exercise instructor.
Certified personal trainer certification such as ACE or NASM or other recognized PT certification.
Preferred Qualifications
Multi-Lingual skills.
Bachelors Degree from an accredited 4-year college/university in Fitness Management, Health/Physical Education, Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology or equivalent.
YMCA Team Leadership or Multi-team/Branch Leader certification, and or related job training in leadership development.
