The Assistant Nurse Manager is a registered nurse who functions as a patient care provider, supervisor and clinical resource for staff. She/he implements management and clinical activities. Coordinates clinical activities to ensure that the nursing process is operationalized utilizing Standards of Care/Standards of Practice. Primary responsibilities include ensuring the provision of patient care consistent with department/hospital and regulatory standards.

Requirements:

  • Work requires current Massachusetts RN license.

  • Work requires BSN degree.

  • Work requires a minimum of three to five years clinical experience.

  • Work requires a minimum of two years clinical experience relevant to the unit patient population.

  • Certification in related specialty areas encouraged.

  • Active membership in professional and leadership organization preferred.

Demonstrates awareness of environmental forces on health care of patients and their families. Demonstrates the ability to identify resources necessary to implement the plan of care. * Works in a collegial and collaborative relationship with other health professionals to determine healthcare needs of patients and families.
