The Assistant Nurse Manager is a registered nurse who functions as a patient care provider, supervisor and clinical resource for staff. She/he implements management and clinical activities. Coordinates clinical activities to ensure that the nursing process is operationalized utilizing Standards of Care/Standards of Practice. Primary responsibilities include ensuring the provision of patient care consistent with department/hospital and regulatory standards.

Requirements:

  • Work requires current Massachusetts RN license.

  • Work requires BSN degree.

  • Work requires a minimum of three to five years clinical experience.

  • Work requires a minimum of two years clinical experience relevant to the unit patient population.

  • Certification in related specialty areas encouraged.

  • Active membership in professional and leadership organization preferred.

This Per Diem - Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for: * Providing care coordination in partnership with physicians as an integral member of the Perioperative Services Team. * Performing histories and physical examinations on infants, children and adults with simple to complex clinical and care coordination needs. * Synthesizing clinical data. * Communicating critical information to interdisciplinary care team. * Providing pre-operative education to patient and families. * Diagnosing and prescribing for common illnesses affecting procedural readiness. Working collaboratively with primary care physicians/specialist when necessary, to medically optimize for anesthesia/surgery. * Provide family-centered care as a member of a multidisciplinary team that provides expert care. To qualify, you must have: * A Master's Degree in Nursing and MA Advanced Practice Nurse License. * 3 years of PNP/FNP experience in acute care, inpatient Medical-Surgical care or Primary Care. * Pediatric experience preferred. * Proficiency in navigating the patient medical record in its entirety.
