PURPOSE: The Assistant Payroll Manager would be responsible for processing payroll for the Executives, Legal, and Expatriate groups. The successful candidate should possess some general accounting knowledge to be able to create inter-company billings and journal entries on a monthly basis. Creating and running ad-hoc reports, especially at quarter end and yearend is critical. This role is a major contributor toward Lincoln Electric's annual bonus program as well as processing yearend tax documents.
JOB DESCRIPTION (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES):
Process payroll for Executives (including retirees), and Expatriates.
Process miscellaneous pays, including but not limited to Stock options, Moving expenses, Tophat disbursements, OFCCP, etc.
Process and audit YTD wage and tax information including inter-company transactions.
Responsible for the monthly payroll financial close process, including but not limited to journal entries, account reconciliations, and account analysis.
Administrator and liaison for ADP.
Responsible for special payroll reporting, ie. BMEMO.
Translate ADP files and upload into SAP.
Project lead on implementation of all new acquisitions.
Responsible for escalated issue resolution regarding payroll matters.
Responsible for Hypo-tax accrual on all expatriates. Works closely with PWC to assure compliance.
Coordinate the company's special bonus payment in December.
Coordinate the year end payroll process.
Special payment processing.
BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
CPP or FPC certification preferred. CPA or MBA a plus.
5 years experience in payroll management or assistant management.
Comprehensive knowledge of IRS Rules and Regulations regarding payroll.
Experience with ADP reporting and Payforce software.
Proficient in MS Office including: advanced Excel skills, Word and PowerPoint.
Ability to work well with all levels within Lincoln Electric and external organizations.
Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities with competing deadlines.
Must be highly motivated; as well as have the proven ability to work independently and within a team; exhibiting demonstrated flexibility and openness to change.
Must possess a keen attention to detail, and promote high quality standards.
