Assistant Patient Care Coordinator

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited colleges or universities

• Three (3) to five (5) years of perioperative nursing care and progressive leadership experiences

• Current New York State Licensed Registered Professional Nurse

• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

• Certified Operating Nurse (CNOR) - Preferred

• Ability to assess and reassess patients.

• Ability to perform assigned point of care testing (ex. Glucometer, Rapid Covid Testing).

• Ability to administer PPD as ordered and document readings.

• Computer application skills - ALLSCRIPTS, EPIC, Microsoft Excel.

• Excellent written and communication skills.

• Nursing and leadership skills.

The Assistant Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for the operational management of the assigned Nursing Unit in collaboration with physician leadership, participates in the strategic planning for the department. Has accountability for nursing services 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
